2026 Topps Flagship
Football

The first paper flagship NFL set of the new Topps license era. Topps got the NFL back in 2026 after more than a decade — Chrome led the debut wave in April, and this is the classic flagship treatment: full rookie class, veteran base, and premium hits. It's out now — here's the checklist, the box math, and how to play it.

⚠️ Released Aug 21, 2026. The checklist and configuration are now public: 400-card base set, hobby boxes of 20 packs × 12 cards (240 cards) with one autograph or memorabilia card per box, launched at $119.99 and repriced to $129.99 on release day. Singles are posting and sold comps are forming — the chase table below now carries live ask marks against specific card numbers (read Aug 25) rather than tier labels — asks, clearly labelled, since a sold feed is not wired up yet. 2026 Topps Flagship Football — At a Glance

Topps' pitch: "timeless designs and premium hits." Think MLB Series 1 energy applied to the NFL for the first time — the widest-distribution paper RCs of the 2026 draft class. The April Chrome debut set the tone (400-card base, deep refractor ladder); flagship paper is the accessible entry point to the same rookie class.

The Chase

What You're Actually Chasing

With the checklist out, the chase is still the rookie class itself. The 2026 draft's top names get their first wide-distribution paper flagship RCs here — historically the volume market that everything else prices against. Tiers below are based on the class and the license era's established hit structure, not a published checklist.

How these marks are made. Each row is pinned to one specific card, not the whole tier — card numbers are shown so you can check us. Figures are live eBay asking prices, not sold prices: we drop the two cheapest listings (which are almost always bait), take the median of the next ten, and include shipping. Asks run above solds, so treat these as the ceiling of the current market, not what you should pay. The Mendoza autograph mark comes from 23 priced listings clustered $1,345–$1,650; the two sub-$10 "read description" listings underneath it are exactly what the trim removes. PREM1ERE Patch 1/1s have no listings at all, so there is no number to give you. Asks read Aug 25, 2026.

Where to Buy

Sealed & Singles

Post-release rule: the box is a known quantity now — 240 cards and one hit for $129.99 — so don't pay a sealed premium for variance you can price around. Singles against specific card numbers, or sealed at or near MSRP, are the only two entries that respect the math.

Variables That Move This Set

⬛ HIGH IMPACT
Paper's Own Sold Comps
Singles are posting and sold comps are forming, but the marks above are asks, read Aug 25. The first real sold ladder against card numbers #301 / #309 / #318 sets the value equation. Until it forms, treat every ask as a ceiling, not a price.
⬛ HIGH IMPACT
Mendoza's September
A No. 1 pick QB starting week one for the Raiders is a national storyline. Two good starts and every flagship Mendoza parallel repricing upward; a slow start and the class deflates together. His arc is the set's beta.
◯ MEDIUM
Year-One License Premium
First-year-of-license products carry a structural collectability argument (1989 Score football, 2010 Topps Chrome). It's real but already priced into hype — it supports holding, not overpaying.
☉ LOWER
Paper vs Chrome Split
Chrome (April) already gave the class refractor RCs. Paper flagship RCs historically trade below Chrome equivalents — buy flagship for volume and accessibility, not as the premium version.
Avoid

What to Skip

Aftermarket sealed well above MSRP — the box is a known quantity: 240 cards and one autograph or memorabilia hit for $129.99. Anything past that is a hype tax on box variance. Buy the single instead.
Raw base rookies as an investment — flagship is a volume product by design. Numbered parallels or graded copies are the only stock that holds.
Pricing off Chrome comps — April's Chrome sales are a different product at a different tier. Paper flagship needs its own comps; give it 2-3 weeks post-release.
Defense-heavy auto lots — the deep class means plenty of signatures with no market. QBs, skill positions, and low serials carry football.
