Steel City marks the date "subject to change", and Panini has not printed one we could read, so treat it as a distributor date. Both stores price the presale at $374.95 a box: one pack of 7 cards with 4 hits. This is the first Obsidian Football without the NFL license, so the autographs come from retired greats and college NIL players. No 2026 box has sold yet. The last licensed box, 2024 Obsidian, last sold three times this spring: $600.00 (Apr 12), $899.00 (Apr 20) and $829.99 (May 12, 2026).

Per Steel City's hobby listing (read Oct 7, 2026): 7 cards per pack, 1 pack per box, and on average 1 autographed memorabilia card, 1 more autograph, 2 more memorabilia cards, 1 insert or insert parallel and 2 base or base parallels per box. Dave & Adam's lists the same mix with the patch autograph spelled out. The prices below are distributor presale prices and eBay asks, dated. None of them is a sale.

The eBay ask is the cheapest live fixed-price single-box listing on Oct 7, 2026; the other single-box listing asked $749.90 and one 12-box case listing asked $8,099.91. Asks are what sellers want, not what boxes sold for. Panini's own release calendar did not render for us on Oct 7.
Earlier Obsidian Football boxes are the nearest comparison, but not a clean one: they carried NFL teams and logos, and 2026 does not. Neither has enough recent sales for a median under our rule (3 sales in 30 days, or 2 in 90). So each figure below is one sale, named with its date, not a median.

Removed by eye from the 2024 tab: a First Off The Line box ($1,345.00, Aug 13) and International boxes ($235.95 Jul 25, $269.99 Jun 9, $285.95 Apr 16), which are different products. The 2024 base rookies of Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye and Bo Nix also lack a sold read in raw or PSA 10; Caleb Williams' raw base rookie sold for a median $51.00 across 3 sales, Aug 16–Sep 29, 2026.
The date is a distributor date. Steel City, Dave & Adam's and Checklist Insider all show October 21. Panini has not published a date we could read, and Steel City says it may change.
The price is set below the old boxes. The presale is $374.95. Three spring sales of the licensed 2024 box ran $600.00 to $899.00. That gap is the stores' first guess at what the lost NFL license is worth. It is a guess, not a sale.
Obsidian trades thin. Even the licensed 2024 box went five months without a standard sale on the tape, and most of its rookie cards have no current sold read. Expect wide spreads between the first asks and the first sales.
What we do not know. We do not know the checklist, which college players sign, or how the first boxes will sell. This page will add the first dated sold comps after boxes ship.
